Our Commitment to Corrections
PlainGreenLoansOffer.com publishes financial content that directly affects readers' borrowing decisions. When our content contains an error — whether a numerical mistake, an outdated rate, a factual inaccuracy, or a mischaracterization — we take responsibility for correcting it promptly and transparently.
Our corrections policy applies to all content on this site: reviews, blog articles, comparison tables, rate disclosures, and calculator outputs. Legal pages (Privacy, Terms) follow a separate versioning process documented within those pages.
Types of Corrections We Make
Material corrections (visibly disclosed)
These are corrections that could affect a reader's understanding or decision:
- Incorrect APR ranges, fees, or loan amounts
- Outdated state-availability claims
- Incorrect statistical claims or citations
- Mischaracterizations of lender products or terms
- Errors in legal or regulatory descriptions
- Broken links to important primary sources
Minor edits (may be silent)
These changes typically don't require a visible correction notice:
- Typos, grammar, or punctuation fixes
- Formatting or layout adjustments
- Broken internal-link fixes
- Image compression or accessibility improvements
- Metadata updates (title tags, meta descriptions)
Our Correction Process
- Error reported (by reader, editorial team member, or automated fact-check)
- Editorial team verifies the error against primary sources (within 24 hours)
- If verified, correction drafted and reviewed by senior editorial staff
- Content updated on the live site (target: within 48 hours of verification)
- Material corrections receive a visible correction notice at the top of the affected page
- "Last Reviewed" date updated on the affected page
- Correction logged in our internal correction record
How We Display Corrections
Material corrections are noted using a standardized format at the top of the corrected page or section:
Correction notices remain in place indefinitely — they are not removed after a period of time. This preserves the historical record of what was corrected and when.
We also update the visible "Last Reviewed" date every time a page is materially edited.
How to Report an Error
If you spot an error in our content, please let us know. We take every report seriously and review each one against primary sources.
When reporting, please include:
- The URL of the page containing the error
- The specific claim or figure that appears incorrect
- The correct information (if known) and your source, if possible
